This is for research on my legal thriller. The scenario is this: my MFC was aiming for a 24-hour continuance. Besides bomb threats and murder attempts, she lost a witness and then a judge due to a car bombing in his car. The judge did grant a continuance; but due to his death, it’s now a mistrial. I’m wondering if you can have the same jury selected or have to start all over again? Any legal experts in here like lawyers to help me out?

The Jury system which was prevalent in the pre independent India was discontinued and Judges solely give the Judgement.The jurors selected by the Lawyers may be laymen and may not be in a position to come to a verdict of guilty/non guilty and also they may be influenced by the co-jurors. Hence this system may not be correct.

Can a Lawyer who is a Partner at whatever law firm he/she works at who has a Degree in Business or Entrepreneurship also run a successful business? Is there a way a Lawyer can Run a business by having someone under him/her handle the beginning stages of the business. The business being a Magazine Company which produces a magazine geared towards young and old entrepreneurs of all social and wealth classes and minority races sort of like Black Enterprise Magazine. The second being a Magazine geared towards Food and Recipes working in partnership with my third Entrepreneurial venture which will be a Resteraunt which I would like to see open into a string of Resteraunts in select locations across the Nation. Is this possible? Is it realistic? Or is this more of a retirement venture?
