First, you may want to consider getting an attorney from out of the area. It is pretty standard that attorneys do not sue doctors or medical personnel or organizations who live or operate in the same community that they do.

BE sure it was malpractice. This is what is driving up insurance rates etc.

Doctors can back themselves up and it is very difficult to sue! What did he suffer from?

You have to remember he is 82…and the courts …like bozo….don’t care about the elderly! Not right..but true. My dad is in your grandfathers position..he is 84 and has severe dementia and many other problems. We never leave dad alone. Someone is there with him all the time so they know us and know my dad very well.

HOWEVER I do know sometimes places do not always stay on top of the game but you have to PROVE neglect and that is hard to do. VERY hard to do with the courts definition of NEGLECT!

You can call the American Bar Association in your area and ask for an attorney to talk to and see what options are. Good luck. I hope your grandfather does better and gets home soon. My dad won’t be coming home….and it is very sad.
